Custom built and designed by Port-A-Pier, the All-Terrain Forklift assists our crews in servicing over 450 piers every spring and fall.  These (affectionately called...) monsters are capable of carrying up to 3,000 pounds, ride over rough terrain, and leaves no trace of its presence on a property.  It operates at 1,250 pounds per square inch which has the same impact on your lawn as what a garden tractor would!       DNR approved, the ATF is an environmentally friendly piece of equipment.  It can operate in up to 5-1/2' of water and has the capability to float in greater water depths....which makes it very important to us to have a piece of equipment that won't damage the environment it works in!  The engine is manufactured to its proper emission standards.  All of the engine fluids consist of veggie oil to eliminate the potential for contamination in the water.

Not only does the ATF have 4-wheel drive, but it also has all-wheel steer to get our crews out of some pretty tight situations.  It can climb a 40 degree grade and has the ability to self-level for those extra bumby shorelines.  The ATF hooks up to our service trucks eliminating the need for a trailer.  It can get up to speeds of 40 MPH to eradicate the hassle of constantly hooking/un-hooking it to a truck.       Since its invention in 1998, the All-Terrain Forklift continues to revolutionize the way our crews install and remove our customers' piers.  For more information on this piece of equipment, drop our service department an email at service@port-a-pier.com.
