Designed by Port-A-Pier in 1980, the boom is a completely self-contained lifting apparatus.  Before its invention our crews consisted of 5 men, a service truck, and a lot of will-power.  Capable of lifting up to 5,000 pounds, this piece of equipment was the beginning of the revolution for our service department.       However, because many of our customers have limited access to their waterfront the boom is only beneficial at sites with an easy access.

The boom doubles as a trailer allowing our crews to carry floats or other products to a customer's site.  The boom sets up in minutes and simply plugs into the front of the truck allowing the crews to operate the WARN 7000# winch.         Great for marina applications, the boom continues to assist our crews in the installation and removal of our customer's piers.  For more information on this piece of equipment, drop our service department an email at service@port-a-pier.com.
